I thought you were departing from Toronto and I had an idea of coming to "see you off", but I've learned that you're leaving from Detroit, so....I won't see you before you go.

We are seriously proud of the adult you are becoming. I think you are very courageous: it's a big step leaving "the nest" but you're not just taking any step - you're taking one humongous, gigantuan step across the planet. Everybody will miss you, so between classes, site-seeing, pubs, and zzzzzs, try to keep us posted. You are our window to a part of the world that, for many of us, is completely new: how cool is that!!??

My wee Angel, all grown up. When you were born I could hardly wait for you to walk so I could take your hand and go for a walk and now look at you grow. You're about to take your second big adventure. I'm soooo proud of you. Enjoy your studies and drink in all the knowledge you can and excite in the wonderous new lands you will have the opportunity of visiting. Never forget the wonderful, loving person you are and don't let anyone change your values in life. Have a safe and exciting trip as you cross the pond to Sussex, England. We look forward to seeing you for Christmas, oh!!! remember to bring your suitcase back empty at Christmas so you can take back all your loot.
